Styling Basics Workshop
“Where do I start?” That’s the most common question I hear from creatives that have an interest in learning more about the art of prop styling. So, let’s start at the beginning!
I’ve put together a workshop that is going to show you exactly what you need to know and take the fear out of styling and photography.
If you are a “hands on” learner this workshop is for you!
October 12-13, 2019, I will be hosting a two day styling workshop at The Vintage Round Top, located in charming Round Top, Texas, with my dear friend and owner of The Vintage Round Top, Paige Hull.

Think of this workshop as your styling starting place; where it all starts to click in a supportive environment where you’re encouraged to stretch your creative wings. We’re going to work a little, play a little and learn a lot as we work together during extended hands on styling sessions that will teach you how to approach your photos with a stylist’s eye for detail. During the workshop you’ll have access to my extensive prop stash, beautiful flowers to style with and best of all, the entire property at The Vintage Round Top.

Create Community! Paige and I have collaborated on numerous creative projects, photo shoots and design projects together. Over the years, I’ve styled The Vintage Round Top for magazine shoots, Christmas, workshops, product shoots and private dinners. This is a place that is familiar and dear to me. During the workshop Paige will be sharing her expert advice on styling creative projects and the importance of setting yourself apart through branding and collaboration. This is valuable scoop!
Every room of this modern vintage property has been thoughtfully designed by Paige and her husband Smoot. Here you’ll learn the important elements of styling and engage in a visually inspiring space with beautiful natural light, vintage textures and custom finishes.

It’s Basic! Very basic photography skills are all you need to get started. Bring the camera gear you’re most comfortable with or use your phone’s camera.
*While the workshop will cover basic editing, composition and shooting with natural light, this is not a comprehensive photography course.

Limited Space! This intimate workshop is limited to 8 attendees to make the best of our creative time together. You’ll be guided on how to approach your styling with an editorial eye. You will also have the opportunity to add to your existing portfolio or start one.
