New Styling Work for Country Living Magazine

Well hello sweet summer time!
The June issue of Country Living Magazine shares a fun peek inside a home in every state. I was honored to style the home of Jim and Barbara to represent Texas. Their daughter, Austin designer and owner of James Showroom, Meredith Ellis, helped update her parent’s Fredericksburg farm style home with fresh and bold fabrics to complement their antiques. It feels so fresh, comfortable and collected. My favorite!

I came home with a serious case of porch envy. Texas builders, listen up…screened in porches are a game changer! Even in the Texas heat this room caught a breeze and was so inviting.

The kitchen’s Mesquite wood countertops are not only a beautiful contrast to the white, they’re tough and warm and have a distinct farm house feel that no man made material can lend. The game table turned island is so charming!

Here’s a behind the scenes close up peek at our outdoor party styling. I’m so lucky to have Allison of H.A.S.bins on my styling team. I rely on her for unique vintage pieces for styling a lot of the shoots I work on. Allison and her partners have a shop locally in Houston at AG Antiques in The Heights, so pop in sometime!

Also, a special thank you to Houston lifestyle store Kuhl-Linscomb. I used a few of their new enamel serving pieces for this shoot. Perfect for casual summer entertaining!

You can see more of the Thomas home in the June issue, available now. See ya at the pool!
